I had chosen Ms. Fox to be my mentor for my teaching practicum period. She graciously took on the extra work load to once again teach and observe me as I made the next step with my education. I enjoyed working with her during my high school years and could not imagine anyone else to help oversee this portion of my schooling. She opened my eyes to different teaching methods and knowledge that even I was learning for the first time. During this 4-month period, I did not expect it to be such an exciting learning experience for me. She allowed me not only to explore my strengths in music, but also to acquire skills to boost my weaknesses too. At the end of it all, I came out a better musician along with her teaching me to play my newest instrument, the guitar. She has shown me more exciting ways to teach music to my students. And as a fellow music teacher, I am always looking for the next opportunity to work together again.
